No ordinary person.
Jack was like no other. He was one in a million and he changed the lives of anyone he came across. He was there at your highest and even more so at your lowest. He was someone you wanted to call a best friend.
And a lot of us did.
Family is everything..
Nobody is perfect even though we may all strive to be but to most of us, Jack was as close to it as anyone could be. Jack would have done anything for his family and this included his friends however his love for mum Helen, sister Abbie and dad Duncan was unrivalled. He would do anything to make sure they were happy and safe.
Then everything changed
One morning, out of the blue, Helen Jacks mum received a messaged that no mum wants to receive. Jack had made the decision to take his own life but even during this heartbreaking time, Jack still felt the need to let his mum know how much he loved her because he couldn't bear leaving without saying goodbye.
The reason we are showing you this because we want those who have never struggled with their mental health or maybe those that don't understand it, to think about how hard this must have been for Jack and the struggles he must have been facing.
Suicide isn’t selfish. Those that attempt to take their own lives don't want to die, they simply want the pain to stop, for the exhaustion to subside and to feel again. Jack was unfortunately successful in his attempt but he will forever live in our hearts and mind.
